Everything We Know About Gipsy
Built by Jack Guard at Pukatea Bay, Gipsy was constructed of kauri planks and launched in 1946 as a commercial fishing vessel. It is believed Gipsy was built for a Mr Tom Wells of Durville Island.
In 2022, Gipsy was listed for sale with a Perkins 4236 diesel engine. She is listed as having 5.9 foot of headroom making her quite roomy for a 35ft boot. She can carry approximately 700lt of fuel and 200lt of water and has one cabin with two berths.
